Transportation Sales Manager

About the role

We are seeking a natural Sales Leader with experience in the transportation industry to coach, develop, and motivate a sales team. The role involves creating a positive environment, driving performance, and overcoming daily challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct sales training for new employees and lead weekly/monthly sales meetings.
• Create sales targets, track daily/weekly/monthly pacing, and ensure achievement of phone stats, new customers, revenue, margins, and other metrics.
• Perform performance reviews, manage the CRM, enter data, and generate reports.
• Assist with customer quotes, building, booking, and dispatching loads, as well as day‑to‑day operations.
• Support hiring processes and manage remote employees through communication and training.
• Monitor team and individual goal attainment, margin optimization, and conversion from trainee to Client Solutions Manager.

Required profile

• Full‑time availability Monday‑through‑Friday.
• College degree preferred.
• Team‑lead or management experience with proven advanced sales success in transportation logistics.
• Demonstrated ability to energically lead and motivate a sales team to exceed daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
• High moral and ethical standards.

Required skills

• Mcleod TMS (preferred).
• Microsoft Office suite.
• CRM software proficiency.
