Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Technician – Behavioral Health

About the role

The Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Technician provides direct patient support and administers TMS treatments for individuals with depression and other behavioral health conditions. Working on Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus, the technician collaborates closely with psychiatrists and behavioral health providers.

Key responsibilities

• Position patients and operate the TMS device according to individualized treatment protocols.
• Monitor patient comfort and response before, during, and after each session, documenting care in Epic.
• Administer psychiatric rating scales, write progress notes, and coordinate follow‑up appointments.
• Troubleshoot coil contact and system setup issues while maintaining patient safety.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent and fluency in English.
• Compassionate patient care with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and lift light loads.

Required skills

• Operation of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) equipment (certification provided on the job).
• Experience documenting clinical information in Epic electronic health record system.
