Trailer Mechanic – Full-Time

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a skilled Trailer Mechanic to join its Burlington Township service center. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of trailers to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform safety inspections and prepare required FMCSA documentation.
• Diagnose mechanical issues, replace defective parts, and conduct preventive maintenance on trailers.
• Test equipment to verify performance meets manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate work orders using the Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System.
• Assist with yard tractor and trailer movements as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience with trailer preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and follow FMCSA, state, and local regulations.
• Physical capability to lift at least 50 lb and work in varying climate conditions.
• Own set of tools and a dependable work ethic.
