Traffic Control Lead – Westminster

About the role

City Rise Traffic is seeking a Traffic Control Lead to supervise and manage work‑zone traffic control crews on construction sites in Westminster. The Lead will ensure safe and efficient traffic flow, comply with MUTCD standards, and provide on‑site training and support to team members.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise job sites, set up, maintain, and tear down work zones, and implement traffic plans and permits.
• Conduct daily Job Hazard Analyses, tailgate meetings, and onsite client contacts while maintaining a strong safety focus.
• Drive company trucks, operate towable equipment, and keep equipment organized and functional.
• Evaluate employee performance, provide training, and ensure compliance with company, state, federal, and MUTCD guidelines.

Required profile

• Current LIUNA membership with journey‑person classification and applicable CBA.
• Proficient knowledge of Caltrans MUTCD and ability to read traffic control plans and permits.
• Valid California driver’s license with clean record and experience driving medium‑duty vehicles and towing trailers.
• Strong leadership, customer service, and conflict‑resolution skills; ability to work independently in high‑volume outdoor environments.

Required skills

• ATSSA flagging, traffic control tech, and traffic control supervisor certifications.
• OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications.
• First aid/CPR and TMA certifications.
• Basic computer skills and ability to read and implement traffic control plans.
