Therapist (AMFT/ACSW) – Substance Use Disorder Outpatient

About the role

CRI-Help is seeking a full‑time AMFT or ACSW therapist to provide outpatient substance‑use disorder treatment in North Hollywood. The therapist will join a multidisciplinary team delivering individual, family and group counseling to adults and families.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct at least 20 hours per week of individual, family, and/or group counseling sessions.
• Develop behavioral wellness and safety plans for high‑risk clients.
• Participate in case conferences, treatment planning, and clinical discussions to ensure holistic, person‑centered care.
• Document client interactions accurately in electronic systems, complying with internal and external guidelines.
• Maintain client records in accordance with HIPAA, 42 CFR, and other confidentiality standards.
• Attend staff meetings, agency trainings, and stay current with state and county regulations (Title 22, Title 9, SAPC DMC Provider Manual).
• Provide administrative support by reviewing and finalizing ASAM assessments, treatment plans, and problem lists.
• Complete additional tasks assigned by the Clinical Director.

Required profile

• Current AMFT or ACSW credential.
• Ability to deliver at least 20 hours of counseling per week.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, 42 CFR, Title 22, Title 9, and SAPC DMC Provider Manual requirements.
• Experience working with clients who have substance‑use disorders and co‑occurring conditions.

Required skills

• Proficiency in conducting ASAM assessments and developing treatment plans.
• Electronic health record documentation.
• Compliance with HIPAA and related confidentiality regulations.
• Understanding of state and county regulatory frameworks for SUD treatment.
