Tenure-Track Assistant/Associate Professor in Accounting

About the role

Baruch College’s Stan Ross Department of Accountancy is seeking tenure‑track faculty to join its teaching and research community. The department has two Assistant Professor openings and one Assistant/Associate Professor opening, beginning Fall 2027, pending budget approval. Successful candidates will contribute to undergraduate and graduate programs while advancing scholarly work in accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct high‑quality original research and publish in reputable accounting journals.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in various formats (in‑person, online, hybrid).
• Mentor students at the bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. levels.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university committees.
• Engage with Zicklin programs on campus and with global partners.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Accounting or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to produce scholarly research of high quality.
• Proven teaching effectiveness and willingness to teach in multiple modalities.
• Commitment to collaborative work and institutional service.
