Sales & Trading Graduate Programme 2027

About the role

Barclays is recruiting recent or soon-to-be graduates for its Sales, Trading and Structuring Graduate Programme in New York, starting in 2027. The programme gives intensive initial training, then places you as a salesperson or trader on a specific desk in one of the business areas listed, such as Client Capital Management, Credit, eFICC Trading, Equities, Foreign Exchange, Rates and Structuring. You will work at the Americas Headquarters in Times Square, Manhattan.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and develop solutions to clients' needs, and monitor markets to formulate trade ideas
• Perform analyses on fundamental and technical data, and take part in client meetings or calls
• As a trading analyst: generate trade ideas, help price products, and support daily tasks such as trade reporting and P&L analysis
• Manage client relationships and provide customer service support, handling product questions and transaction processing under steadily decreasing supervision
• Develop and implement financial models and strategies, and help launch new products and services
• Execute small research projects, prepare presentations and reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Take part in training and development, and mentor junior colleagues

Required profile

• Final-year student at an undergraduate degree programme
• Ideally a GPA of 3.2 or above
• Interest in business and finance, a good work ethic and eagerness to learn technical skills
• Legal right to work in the United States; sponsorship is not offered
