Tennis & Pickleball Professional (On Call)

About the role

Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, a luxury resort in Tucson's Catalina Foothills recognized as an AZ Central Top Workplace, is looking for a passionate Tennis & Pickleball Professional to serve as the face of its tennis program. The role is on call and involves expert instruction, personalized service and a love of the game, with collaboration with the Recreation & Wellness team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and lead clinics, private lessons, social mixers and tournaments, and develop seasonal programming.
• Provide private and group lessons and personalized coaching and feedback to guests of all ages and skill levels.
• Maintain courts to the highest standards, including cleanliness, safety and readiness.
• Manage equipment and supply inventory and coordinate court reservations and scheduling.
• Promote programs and collaborate with Recreation, Spa and Marketing teams.
• Stay current on tennis trends and incorporate new techniques and formats.
• Comply with safety, legal and operational standards, attend mandatory training and meetings, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching tennis in a resort, club or hospitality setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with diverse age groups and skill levels.
• Knowledge of tennis equipment and court maintenance.
• Willingness and ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Veterans and military spouses are encouraged to apply.

Required skills

• Proficiency in scheduling software and basic computer applications.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
