Spa & Fitness Center Manager

About the role

Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, Arizona, is looking for a Spa & Fitness Center Manager. The resort provides a four-diamond spa and fitness operation, and the manager directs and coordinates its productivity, guest satisfaction, membership sales, team member satisfaction and financial goals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the budget, sales, expenses, staffing and marketing for the spa and fitness center
• Manage cash flow, revenues and expenses related to the spa, fitness center and membership activities
• Hire, schedule, terminate and discipline team members, and train, develop and evaluate them
• Ensure staff hold the required licenses and certifications
• Maintain contact with vendors, community leaders, local organizations and guest groups to promote the spa and fitness center
• Handle membership sales professionally and in compliance with local, state and federal regulations
• Help resolve demanding guest situations and attend required training sessions and meetings
• Follow Loews standards, safety procedures, emergency protocols and recycling guidelines, and take part in task forces and committees

Required profile

• Thorough knowledge of hotel spa operations and general knowledge of all hotel departments
• Excellent written and verbal communication, leadership, organizational and management skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask and make decisions without supervision
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
• Preferred: knowledge of ProSalon

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to handle upset guests and tense situations professionally
