Engineer II (Maintenance)

About the role

Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, a luxury property in Tucson's Catalina Foothills, is looking for a full-time Engineer II. This hands-on role covers electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and general maintenance, keeping all systems safe and efficient and supporting a seamless guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform skilled trade work in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and general maintenance
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, guest concerns and emergencies
• Carry out routine inspections to spot and fix potential issues
• Use tools, equipment and hazardous materials safely, following MSDS guidelines
• Complete documentation and maintenance records for all work
• Help with dispatch and support team workflow
• Follow emergency response procedures and support special event setup and minor maintenance
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and organized

Required profile

• At least 2 years of hands-on maintenance or skilled trades experience with journey-level responsibility in a hospitality setting, preferred
• Post-high school training or equivalent in a maintenance or engineering field, preferred
• Proven background in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry or related trades
• Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams and repair manuals
• Ability to stand, walk, work on ladders and lift 50+ pounds regularly
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed

Required skills

• Proficiency with trade tools, equipment and systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with safety standards, MSDS compliance and hazardous materials handling
• Experience with emergency response and routine inspections
