Temporary Library Teacher Resource Center Specialist

About the role

The Teacher Resource Center (TRC) at Fresno State supports students, faculty, staff, pre‑K‑12 educators and community members with books, media, kits and curricular materials. Under the Dean’s supervision, the Temporary Library Teacher Resource Center Specialist provides front‑line service, maintains collections, and supports programming and resource guide creation.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service at the TRC desk in person, by phone and email, including tours and assistance.
• Maintain and shelve TRC collections, prepare displays, exhibits and reading lists to promote resources.
• Participate in collection development, handling selection, deselection and purchase suggestions.
• Create LibGuides and other educational materials, and coordinate programming such as readings and course visits.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of library or administrative support experience, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Knowledge of library terminology, policies, classification schemes and budget tracking.

Required skills

• Proficiency with automated library circulation and records‑management systems.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Apps).
