Telehealth Nurse

About the role

The Telehealth Nurse provides counseling and education to patients regarding specialty drug therapies through virtual channels. This role ensures adherence to regulations, accurate documentation, and supports patients in managing side effects and therapy adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Counsel and educate new and existing patients on specialty drug therapies.
• Maintain compliance with contracted and accrediting regulations as indicated by drug specifications.
• Document interactions thoroughly using good documentation practice and industry standards.
• Discuss potential and current side effects with patients and provide treatment alternatives.
• Identify and report adverse events and product complaints to manufacturers, FDA, or other authorities.

Required profile

• Associate’s, Bachelor’s or higher in Nursing or accredited nursing diploma.
• Registered Nurse with an unrestricted compact state license or primary NC licensure.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with 3‑5 years post‑graduate experience in pharmacy operations, clinical oversight, and patient care.
• At least 5 years of nursing experience, preferably with 1 year of acute inpatient care.
• Ability to obtain licensing in all states and US territories within three months of employment.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, including experience with motivational interviewing.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret practice standards and professional guidelines.
