Technology Marketing & Inventor Engagement Intern

About the role

The Technology Marketing & Inventor Engagement Intern will support the BioVentures team at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) by translating scientific and patent information into clear marketing materials and facilitating communication with inventors throughout the commercialization process.

Key responsibilities

• Develop technology marketing collateral based on scientific, patent, and inventor data.
• Communicate with UAMS inventors to gather information and keep them informed about commercialization opportunities.
• Prepare technologies for outreach to potential commercial partners.
• Support engagement activities throughout the commercialization pipeline.

Required profile

• Current graduate or professional student in science, engineering, biomedical sciences, business, communications, law, or a related field.
• Strong writing, research, and professional communication skills with consistent follow‑up.
• Ability to understand complex technical information and convey it clearly to diverse audiences.
• Interest in technology commercialization, science communication, innovation, entrepreneurship, or business development.
• Self‑managed, able to meet deadlines independently.
