Technical Writer (TS/SCI) – Secure Access Solutions

About the role

Join LufCo’s secure access team in Annapolis Junction, MD, as a Technical Writer (TW2). You will work closely with developers and engineers to produce high‑quality documentation, user guides, and training materials that support critical national security initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain operations documentation, user guides, manuals, and technical publications.
• Gather technical information from multiple sources and translate it into clear, comprehensible written material.
• Collaborate with developers to create training resources and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Produce reports, briefings, and responses for diverse audiences.
• Coordinate layout and design of documents, maintaining an internal documentation library.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (or 4 years of equivalent experience).
• Minimum six years of technical writing experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Ability to travel to client sites, labs, or field environments as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Strong technical writing and grammar skills.
• Experience creating documentation from engineering drawings and subject‑matter expert input.
