Technical Project/Program Manager

About the role

Applied Materials seeks an experienced Technical Project/Program Manager to lead new product introductions from design through high‑volume manufacturing. The role is based in Austin, TX and involves coordinating cross‑functional teams across engineering, operations, and manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own integrated program plans, define milestones, track dependencies and manage risks.
• Lead weekly/bi‑weekly cross‑functional cadences, executive reviews and drive issue escalations to resolution.
• Remove roadblocks, assess readiness for high‑volume manufacturing and enable smooth product transfer.
• Conduct lessons‑learned sessions and integrate improvements into business processes.

Required profile

• 7+ years of hands‑on program or project management experience with cross‑functional technical teams.
• Demonstrated leadership of complex hardware and software products from design to manufacturing.
• Experience working globally across multiple time zones.
• Professional project‑management certification (or obtain within 12 months of hire).

• Stakeholder management and cross‑functional communication.
• Agile, waterfall and Lean methodologies.
