Technical Project/Program Manager

About the role

Applied Materials seeks a Technical Project/Program Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects that support the development of semiconductor and display equipment. The role combines technical expertise with strong coordination skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed project plans and coordinate deliverables from planning through implementation.
• Maintain matrices for process improvements and drive project tasks using reports, tracking charts, and checklists.
• Align internal resources to achieve on‑time and on‑budget performance objectives.
• Monitor and report project cost performance to the business unit.
• Participate in intra‑business‑unit design teams to complete projects.
• Contribute to the team’s technical development and pursue project goals.
• Research causes of project obstacles and assist in implementing resolution solutions.

Required profile

• Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in your discipline with basic knowledge of related fields.
• Understands best practices and how your area integrates with others; aware of competition and market differentiators.
• Acts as a resource for less‑experienced colleagues and may lead small, low‑risk projects.
