Process Support Engineer

About the role

The Process Support Engineer (PSE) guides semiconductor equipment through its full lifecycle, from concept to qualification, providing on‑site installations, system diagnostics, and complex equipment repairs. The role works closely with customers and R&D teams to develop advanced processes for manufacturing cutting‑edge chips.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between the customer and Business Unit, ensuring clear understanding of issues and delivery of solutions.
• Optimize tool performance to meet customer process and integration requirements.
• Check and approve operational quality of system equipment and instruct customers on operation and maintenance.
• Provide on‑site installation, diagnosis, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex semiconductor equipment.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor capital equipment or a similar high‑tech industry.
• 3+ years of experience in applications or process engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD).
• Knowledge of Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD).
• Knowledge of Plasma Reactive Ion Etch (RIE).
• Knowledge of Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD).
• Knowledge of Anneal and Implant processes.
• Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical data analysis.
• Root cause analysis for complex process issues.
