Process Support Engineer

About the role

As a Process Support Engineer (PSE), you will guide products through their entire lifecycle, from concept to final qualification, and provide high‑visibility customer support through on‑site installations, system diagnoses, and service and repair of complex semiconductor equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between the customer and the Business Unit for assigned projects, ensuring clear understanding of issues and delivery of solutions.
• Work closely with customers to optimize tool performance to meet process and integration requirements.
• Check and approve operational quality of system equipment and instruct customers in operation and maintenance.
• Provide on‑site installation, diagnosis, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
• Collaborate with R&D and application teams to develop and qualify advanced processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Semiconductor Capital Equipment or a similar high‑tech industry.
• 3+ years of experience in Applications or Process Engineering, preferably in Etch.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time and relocate if needed.
• On‑site work location in Boise, ID.

Required skills

• Knowledge of three or more processes on one or more technologies.
• Experience with Chemical Vapor Deposition, Atomic Layer Deposition, Plasma Reactive Ion Etch, Physical Vapor Deposition, Anneal and Implant processes.
• Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis for process optimization.
• Root‑cause analysis and troubleshooting of complex equipment issues.
