Technical Project Manager (PMO)

About the role

Deloitte Technology-US (DT-US) Office of the CIO (OCIO) PMO is hiring a Technical Project Manager to apply sound project-management practices to deliver major internal technology initiatives. You will independently lead projects and small programs, keeping them on schedule, within budget and to the expected quality standards. The PMO supports technology strategy and transformational initiatives across AI, Cloud, Cyber and other enterprise capabilities. The role is open to 33 locations across the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional projects and straightforward programs from initiation through delivery and closure.
• Manage scope, schedules, milestones, resources, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies and stakeholder communications.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, workstream dependencies and delivery metrics, taking timely corrective action.
• Coordinate resources, resolve capacity conflicts and prepare status reports, dashboards and decision materials for sponsors and stakeholders.
• Track budgets, forecasts and variances, and support actions to maintain financial discipline.
• On complex programs, partner with a Program Manager or Associate Director and own defined projects or workstreams.
• Contribute to the PMO's methods, templates, tools and ways of working.

Required profile

• 5+ years of project or program management experience supporting cross-functional IT initiatives with structured methods and tools.
• Demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedules, resources, risks, issues, dependencies and stakeholder communications independently.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field.
• Ability to travel 0-10% on average; limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Required skills

• Experience with Agile and/or other software delivery methodologies and a solid understanding of the SDLC.
• Proficiency with project-management and reporting tools such as MS Project & Planner, Azure DevOps or ServiceNow.
• Preferred: project or program financial management experience, matrixed professional-services or consulting background, and blended onshore/offshore delivery experience.
