Technical Project Manager – ALD New Product Transitions

About the role

Join the ALD Manufacturing Engineering team at Applied Materials as a Technical Project Manager focused on new product transitions, continuous improvement projects, and refurbished systems. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to develop manufacturing strategies and ensure successful product launches.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high‑level Plan for Record (POR) and manufacturing strategy for new ALD quad‑wafer and Trillium products.
• Manage manufacturing builds from lab chambers through early learning shipments to pilot‑line production and DTOR shipments.
• Coordinate release of product improvements, engineering change requests, and cost estimates.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to create build/test specifications, test fixtures, and documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement, failure analysis, and corrective actions with Customer Experience and Design Engineering teams.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or related capital equipment projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in project management and basic knowledge of ALD tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, suppliers, operations, and finance.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to learn new technical skills quickly.
