Technical Learning Advisor

About the role

The Technical Learning Advisor (TLA) works alongside the organization to ensure employees receive the classroom training needed for their roles. Additionally, the TLA partners with the business to drive competence development while ensuring systems are up to date in compliance with relevant regulations (FAA, TCCA, EASA). This role is a critical part of the training team, keeping employee competency aligned with the production organization authority’s quality management system.

Key responsibilities

• Support the organization in understanding current competency status and create training plans to close identified gaps.
• Facilitate regular competency routines using Airbus’s internal Poly‑poly tool and keep employee profiles current in learning management systems.
• Obtain training requests from teams, relay them to the training department, and ensure follow‑up and completion.
• Develop and maintain KPIs reported to senior management to track competency‑gap closure.
• Align new‑hire training paths with required competencies and support classroom training sessions as needed.
• Drive the recertification schedule and sessions for production employees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with manufacturing industry experience.
• 3 + years of training experience in a manufacturing environment or 4 + years of progressive manufacturing experience.
• Intermediate presentation, facilitation and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with learning management systems such as Cornerstone or SuccessFactors (preferred).
• Prior experience as a training coordinator and in aerospace advanced manufacturing (strongly preferred).
• Authorized to work in the United States.
