Technical Account Manager

About the role

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) acts as the bridge between client business goals and the MSP’s technical execution. This senior‑level consultant ensures client infrastructures align with industry best practices and the specific needs of each organization.

Key responsibilities

• Audit client environments against the MSP’s Standard Stack, verifying firewalls, backups, and cloud configurations meet security and performance benchmarks.
• Lead quarterly or semi‑annual Technical Business Reviews to present health reports, risk assessments, and infrastructure roadmaps.
• Develop 1‑3 year technology roadmaps covering hardware refresh, cloud migrations, and security upgrades.
• Identify technical gaps, draft initial scopes of work, and coordinate project implementation.
• Serve as senior escalation point for complex issues and act as client advocate with third‑party vendors.

Required profile

• 5+ years in a senior technical role (Tier 3 or Team Lead) with 1‑2 years of client‑facing advisory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong consultative selling ability and comfort presenting technical data to C‑suite audiences.
