Senior Blockchain Engineer

About the role

zerohash is seeking a Senior Blockchain Engineer to design and build the infrastructure that powers digital asset transactions across multiple blockchain networks. This is a full‑time, remote‑friendly position for a technically deep, detail‑oriented engineer who thrives on solving complex distributed systems challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement blockchain integration services—including transaction signing, deposit processing, and confirmation tracking—across EVM, Solana, Polkadot, XRP and other networks.
• Build and maintain gRPC microservices in Go within an event‑driven architecture using NATS JetStream.
• Develop transaction state machines with reliability guarantees such as idempotency, distributed locking, and chain reorganization handling.
• Integrate with custody providers for secure transaction signing and wallet management.
• Monitor blockchain networks for deposits, confirmations, and anomalies, and participate in on‑call rotation for production incident response.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in FinTech.
• Deep proficiency in Go and strong understanding of blockchain protocols.
• Experience with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and message brokers or event streaming systems (e.g., NATS, Kafka).
• Solid knowledge of MongoDB or other document databases and relational database design.
• Resourceful, self‑starter mindset with excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
