Tax Manager – Corporate Tax & Compliance

About the role

Moog is seeking a seasoned Tax Manager to lead U.S. tax compliance, provision, and research for its corporate group. The role blends technical tax expertise with cross‑functional collaboration, supporting business decisions while ensuring accurate reporting and audit readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Review and coordinate filing of U.S. federal, state, and local income tax returns.
• Prepare and review quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provisions, contributing to GAAP reporting and 10‑K/Q disclosures.
• Conduct tax research, document technical positions, and communicate conclusions to stakeholders.
• Manage the IRS Compliance Assurance Process and lead responses during state and local audits.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, HR, IT, and Operations to embed tax considerations into business decisions.
• Identify, implement, and scale process improvements and technology solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA or Master’s preferred).
• Minimum eight years of combined public accounting and industry experience in tax provision, compliance, and research.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical memo writing and stakeholder presentations.
• Must reside locally in the Buffalo, NY area; no U.S. sponsorship available.

Required skills

• US GAAP and ASC 740
• Knowledge of GILTI, FDII, BEAT, FTC, and R&D tax credits
• Experience with tax provision software such as OneSource or Corptax
• Familiarity with data‑analysis tools like Alteryx and Power BI
