About the role

The Data & Statistics Function at the New York Fed modernizes financial data collection and transforms it into insight for supervision, monetary policy, and financial stability. As a Regulatory Data Associate you will join the Treasury team within the Data Collection & Reporting Department, focusing on Treasury International Capital (TIC) data from U.S. financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct independent analysis of complex financial datasets and create visualizations to identify anomalies and trends.
• Design and execute targeted inquiries that resolve data integrity issues in institutional submissions.
• Ensure timely receipt of data submissions, monitor collection schedules, and address technical submission problems.
• Maintain operational controls that support consistent, reliable data flows.
• Establish and lead ongoing dialogue with financial institutions to improve data quality frameworks and internal controls.
• Synthesize multiple data sources to produce evidence‑based analyses that inform policy decisions.
• Contribute to automation initiatives and emerging technology solutions that increase operational efficiency.
• Investigate and resolve complex reporting issues.
