About the role
The College of Nursing & Health Sciences at Texas A&M International University seeks a Task Worker to act as a Standardized Patient (SP). You will portray realistic patient signs, symptoms, and histories, allowing nursing students to practice physical examinations and clinical communication.
Key responsibilities
- Present a consistent, accurate patient scenario, including medical history, affect, behavior, and physical findings.
- Allow repeated physical examination maneuvers by students and faculty.
- Follow written and verbal instructions from faculty and simulation staff.
- Maintain professionalism and a cooperative attitude when interacting with staff and learners.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Not currently enrolled as an undergraduate at Texas A&M International University.
- Comfortable with repeated physical examinations and on‑campus, face‑to‑face interactions.
- Flexible schedule to meet the needs of the program.
Required skills
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Attention to detail.

- Hourly pay of $25.00 for up to 8 hours per week.
