Talent Acquisition Specialist – Heavy Infrastructure Projects

About the role

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will support APM Terminals' Elizabeth Port Upgrade Programme, a 12‑month consultancy focused on attracting specialist engineering, project, HSSE, asset management and construction talent for a major capital investment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end requisition delivery for niche capex roles across asset management, civil/structural engineering, HSSE, project controls, cost engineering, marine/berth engineering, electrification and project management.
• Build and maintain detailed market maps of US heavy‑infrastructure and port/terminal talent, including competitor analysis, salary benchmarking and target‑company insights.
• Engage professional communities (ASCE, AAPA, AACE, PMI, ASSP, NAEM, women‑in‑engineering/construction groups) to generate referrals and surface passive talent.
• Execute advanced LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean and X‑ray sourcing at scale with measurable conversion targets.
• Partner with the Lead Recruitment Partner to provide updates to senior leadership and embed inclusive hiring standards.
• Document playbooks, search strategies and community contacts for sustainable pipelines beyond the contract.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 + years talent acquisition experience, primarily in sourcing‑led or specialist hiring for hard‑to‑fill technical roles.
• Proven track record hiring for heavy infrastructure, civil engineering, ports/terminals, EPC/EPCM, energy or industrial sectors.
• Self‑directed, consultancy‑style delivery with ability to mobilise quickly and work autonomously.

Required skills

• Expert‑level LinkedIn Recruiter capability (advanced Boolean, X‑ray, Talent Insights, InMail performance).
• Strong proficiency in Workday or comparable ATS with disciplined candidate data management.
• Ability to build market maps, competitor landscapes and community engagement strategies for niche skill sets.
