Systems Resilience Engineer - Hybrid Cloud Storage

About the role

Qumulo is looking for a Systems Resilience Engineer to join a brand‑new team focused on discovering how the platform can fail before customers do. You will design, automate and operate testing that pushes new features to their limits across on‑prem hardware and major clouds.

Key responsibilities

• Design and operationalize testing for new features, scaling and breaking them based on real‑world usage.
• Automate manual testing using Python, Jenkins and Argo, and create a data‑driven schedule for test execution.
• Troubleshoot build and test failures on VM instances and Qumulo‑qualified hardware.
• Set up monitoring and alerting with OpenMetrics, Grafana, InfluxDB and Prometheus.
• Help define the quality bar for releases and participate in on‑call rotation.

Required profile

• 3+ years building and operating automated testing or validation for complex software systems.
• Strong programming ability in C and experience with Linux (Ubuntu) and Python.
• Hands‑on experience with both on‑premises infrastructure and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Breaker mindset – actively seeks edge cases and designs tests to expose them.
