Systems Integration Test Engineer (2nd/3rd Shift)

About the role

CACI's Photonics Ops South unit, which designs, develops and manufactures optical and RF communication systems and image processing and visualization systems, is looking for an Integration and Test Engineer in Orlando. The role covers electro-optical system integration, test planning and test execution, and requires willingness to work second and third shifts as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Hardware/software and opto-mechanical system integration
• Develop system-level test plans based on system requirements
• Develop system test approaches and test fixtures, especially for optical systems
• Define and run system optical and/or communication performance tests
• Support prototype module testing and debugging
• Support selection and testing of optical, electrical and mechanical components
• Perform system-level troubleshooting and write supporting documentation

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience bringing up electro-optical systems
• Understanding of communications (serial, USB, Ethernet)
• Understanding of electronic, optical and mechanical systems
• Self-motivated, self-directed with little supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to work second and third shifts

Required skills

• Use of VOAs, OSAs, power meters and oscilloscopes
• Desired: bench-test programming, Python preferred
