Program Quality Manager

About the role

CACI is hiring a Program Quality Manager (PQM) in Orlando to support its Optical and Photonics Systems (OPS) Business Unit. The role ensures the quality and mission assurance of space and airborne laser electro-optical communication systems, working with complex electronic, mechanical and optical systems in an aerospace and defense environment. About 10% travel within the continental US is required.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary customer interface for mission assurance on assigned programs
• Perform assembly risk analysis on engineering build documentation and review hardware and documentation for compliance, FOD, workmanship and improvement opportunities
• Work with assembly technicians on process compliance verification and improvement
• Chair Failure Review Boards and create, compile and maintain End Items Data Packages
• Audit program production and hardware configuration, and represent Quality & Mission Assurance at program reviews and customer audits
• Ensure compliance with customer quality and mission assurance requirements in plans, specifications and drawings, and coordinate quality plans, corrective actions and recovery activities
• Monitor supplier performance, present quality issues to management and customers, and interface with site quality leadership
• Help create inspection criteria, implement an operator self-inspection program, write quality documents and train staff

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field; direct applicable experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• 7+ years of experience in electronic, optoelectronic and/or opto-mechanical manufacturing highly desirable
• Ability to work in manufacturing labs, offices and cleanrooms, and to stand, sit and walk for long periods
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills

Required skills

• Desired: experience with aerospace and defense prime contractors and space flight programs
• Desired: operational knowledge of AS9100 QMS
• Desired: in-depth system-level failure investigation experience and ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CSQP)
