Production Supervisor - Photonics Systems

About the role

CACI is looking for a Production Supervisor in Orlando to manage the day-to-day testing of its photonics systems builds. The team delivers high-quality products on time while controlling costs and meeting program objectives. The supervisor optimizes and streamlines the assembly build process and staff training, and must be willing to work onsite and travel up to 10% of the time within the continental US.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize production quality, timelines and costs through data-driven management strategies.
• Assess issues and develop mitigation plans to meet productivity, quality, cost and delivery goals.
• Develop and implement approaches that consistently meet or exceed delivery commitments.
• Lead and mentor a diverse team of salaried and hourly staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Oversee workforce management, including manpower planning, training, strategic hiring, professional development and performance evaluations.
• Align production with program and company goals, and handle corrective action planning.

Required profile

• BS in Engineering or a related degree.
• US citizen, with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• At least 10 years of management experience in complex electro-optical DoD production.
• Practical experience in a DoD aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work onsite and travel up to 10% of the time.

Required skills

• High-volume electro-optical manufacturing, assembly, test, manufacturing and test engineering, supply chain, material planning, MRP and IMS scheduling.
• Earned Value Management and budget setting and monitoring.
• DFAR-compliant labor and material proposals, bills of material, configuration management and change control.
• AS9100 and Lean Manufacturing.
• Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Desired: Infor enterprise software, photonics assembly experience, new product introduction experience and a Master's degree.
