Systems Engineer

About the role

Join LufCo as a Systems Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD, supporting critical national security solutions. You will work with a flexible schedule, collaborate closely with teammates, and communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Drive next‑generation PKI architecture forward using commercial and government best practices.
• Plan, implement, and evolve PKI solution sets as part of system modernization efforts.
• Assess system‑wide impacts of changes, minimize technical debt, and guide strategic decisions for identity, credentialing, and access management.
• Advocate for automation across build, deployment, testing, updating, and monitoring processes.
• Document and represent stakeholder priorities for certificate products affecting thousands of users worldwide.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (or 5 years equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of systems engineering experience in similar programs.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Strong communication skills and ability to solve problems with limited resources.

Required skills

• PKI architecture and implementation.
• Experience with Atlassian suite of products.
• Containerization of legacy workloads.
• Automation of build, deployment, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
