Systems Engineer IV

About the role

The Staff Systems Engineer will collaborate with OTECH personnel and the client to guide engineering efforts, develop systems engineering documentation, and ensure seamless technology integration across projects.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements, concepts of operations, and high‑level architectures to produce system requirement specifications.
• Develop and maintain system engineering documents such as concept of operations, interface control documents, hazard analyses, test plans, and procedures.
• Apply Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods, including requirement, structure, and behavior diagrams, and ensure traceability.
• Review progress, evaluate results, and present reports to management and the client.
• Participate in Systems Engineering Division meetings and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• BS in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical or Systems Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of practical Systems Engineering experience, including development of engineering documentation and management of system requirements.
• Experience with DoDAF, Service‑Oriented Architecture (SOA), and SysML.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.

Required skills

• Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques.
• Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and SOA.
• SysML modeling and tools (Cameo).
• Systems Engineering Data Base tools such as CRADLE or DOORS.
• Knowledge of ISO‑9000 quality standards.
