Systems Administrator (Linux, Entry-Level)

About the role

Omnyon is hiring a Systems Administrator in Annapolis Junction, primarily focused on Linux systems, at entry to principal level. The role provides support for the implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of information technology systems, and covers day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices. Active TS/SCI FSP clearance is required.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Tier I (help desk) and Tier II (escalation) support for problem identification, diagnosis and resolution.
• Support the dispatch system and hardware problems and stay involved in their resolution.
• Communicate status escalations to agency management and internal customers.
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, install and load OS software, troubleshoot and maintain system integrity.
• Configure network components and implement OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Required profile

• Active TS/SCI FSP security clearance.
• Experience level from entry to principal.
