Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)

About the role

Omnyon is hiring a full-time Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in Annapolis Junction. The ISSO supports the information assurance program of a program, organization, system or enclave, helping propose, coordinate, implement and enforce information systems security policies, standards and methodologies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the operational security posture of an information system so that security policies, standards and procedures are established and followed.
• Assist with managing the security aspects of the system and perform day-to-day security operations.
• Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information.
• Perform vulnerability and risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation.
• Provide configuration management for information system security software, hardware and firmware, and manage changes while assessing their security impact.
• Prepare and review documentation such as System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs).
• Support security authorization activities in compliance with the NIST Risk Management Framework.

Required profile

• Level I or higher ISSO (Information Assurance Management) certification.
• Active TS/SCI FSP clearance.
