Systems Administrator

About the role

The Systems Administrator will ensure the reliable operation of mission‑critical enterprise systems that support operational testing. You will act as the technical expert for complex Windows and Linux environments, overseeing installation, configuration, and ongoing performance tuning.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and system software in both physical and virtual environments.
• Deploy updates, patches, and upgrades while managing system backups, audit files, and user accounts.
• Support configuration management, verification & validation (V&V), and database administration for test support applications.
• Lead security risk assessments, implement RMF controls, and apply intrusion‑prevention measures for SYSTEM HIGH operations.
• Administer the Instrumentation Control Center (ICC), including instrumentation data collection and network‑centric analysis.
• Coordinate changes with programmers, conduct feasibility studies, and provide project leadership for high‑availability services.

Required profile

• In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Strong experience with network hardware, network software, and virtualization technologies.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues in complex environments.
• Familiarity with database management systems and security risk assessment processes.
• Experience supporting mission‑critical testing or instrumentation systems is a plus.
