Data Analyst – Remote (US Navy NAVSEA)

About the role

Serco Inc. is looking for a remote Data Analyst to support its NAVSEA contract and U.S. Navy modernization initiatives. The role focuses on analyzing naval maintenance metrics, building predictive scorecards, and delivering data‑driven insights to senior Navy leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare analytics for the Availability Duration Scorecard (ADS) quarterly reviews.
• Query, structure, and analyze complex datasets using SQL, advanced Excel, and analytical modeling tools.
• Create data visualizations, operational dashboards, and graphical reports to communicate trends.
• Evaluate shipyard capacity, execution status, and financial metrics to identify bottlenecks.
• Facilitate technical working groups, data review forums, and readiness planning exercises.

Required profile

• Active DoD Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship (mandatory).
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant data analytics experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 10 % domestic travel.

Required skills

• High proficiency in SQL querying and database management.
• Advanced Excel skills and data visualization capabilities.
• Analytical modeling experience.
• Python and machine‑learning knowledge (plus).
• Familiarity with Navy systems such as OARS, VSB, and CASREP (plus).
