Systems Administrator - Classified Networks Support

About the role

MANTECH, a defense contractor since 1968, is looking for a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Administrator to join its Air Force / Space team at Eglin AFB. The position acts as a systems administrator for the Partner Support Complex, providing technical support to classified networks and the operational personnel who use them. It is a full-time, on-site role.

Key responsibilities

• Determine hardware, software and systems specifications and configuration requirements.
• Patch and fix systems and ensure they meet compliance requirements.
• Plan, install, configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2 and 2016, client products across multiple networks and network storage.
• Support users on account management, enterprise and desktop applications and peripherals.
• Work closely with the ISSO on data transfers and media creation, and coordinate user account creation and changes.
• Manage user support and coordinate with back-shop administrators when extra help is needed.
• Perform other hardware and software tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or 2 additional years of experience instead of a degree.
• At least 6 years of direct or related experience.
• Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, obtained before starting; eligibility for access to Special Access Program information.
• Willingness to submit to a polygraph if required.
• Able to stay seated 50% of the time, occasionally move around the office, and regularly lift up to 50 lbs.

Required skills

• DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level II or higher.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and hypervisors such as Hyper-V, VMware, ESXi or Xen.
• Enterprise networking, firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and vulnerability assessment tools.
• Group Policy management and configuration.
