System Administrator (Top Secret) - Eglin AFB

About the role

MANTECH, a defense contractor since 1968 working with the Department of Defense on cybersecurity, IT, data analytics and more, is seeking a motivated, career- and customer-oriented System Administrator for its Air Force / Space team at Eglin AFB. The position is full time and onsite, and requires a current active Top Secret clearance and eligibility for access to Special Access Program information.

Key responsibilities

• Determine hardware, software and systems specifications and configuration requirements.
• Patch, fix and bring assigned systems into compliance.
• Plan, install, configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2 and 2016, client products across multiple networks and network storage.
• Support users on account management, enterprise applications, desktop applications and peripherals.
• Work closely with the ISSO on data transfers and media creation, and coordinate user account creation and modification.
• Perform other hardware and software tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, or 2 additional years of experience in place of a degree.
• At least 3 years of direct or related experience.
• Current active Top Secret clearance and eligibility for Special Access Program information.
• Willingness to submit to a polygraph.
• Able to stay seated 50% of the time, occasionally move around the office, and regularly lift up to 50 lbs.

Required skills

• DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level II or higher.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and hypervisors such as Hyper-V, VMware, ESXi or Xen.
• Enterprise networking, firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and vulnerability assessment.
• Group Policy management and configuration.
