System Administrator – IT Technology Services

About the role

Terrestris is seeking a System Administrator to support the IT Technology Services contract for Federal Prison Industries (UNICOR). The role involves providing service‑desk, systems, network and security operations in a hybrid work environment, with occasional on‑site work at the Central UNICOR office in Washington, DC.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level I technician support for desktops, laptops, zero‑clients and mobile thin clients.
• Manage user and system accounts across Microsoft Windows infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot workstations and servers in both physical and virtual environments.
• Install hardware, software and system updates to meet operational requirements.
• Configure Windows operating systems and maintain settings according to approved standards.
• Perform patch management to keep systems current and secure.
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities by implementing corrective actions.
• Configure and troubleshoot workstation peripherals and provide remote technical support as needed.

Required profile

• Authorization to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
• Minimum of 5 years of IT experience.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) may substitute for two years of experience.
