About the role

The Surgical Technologist – First Assistant works directly with surgeons and the healthcare team to ensure safe, efficient operations with optimal patient outcomes. This full‑time, onsite position offers a $15,000 sign‑on bonus, no weekends, no call, and no holiday work.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain strict sterile technique throughout the procedure.
• Prepare the patient for surgery and provide visualization of the operative field.
• Assist with closure of body planes, apply wound dressings, and secure drainage systems.
• Collaborate with the surgeon and other staff to ensure optimal surgical results.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent and graduate of an accredited Surgical First Assistant program.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in surgery; preferred 2 years in Surgical First Assisting.
• Certified Surgical Assistant or Certified First Assistant.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Required skills
