Surgical Technologist – ENT Surgery

About the role

The Surgical Technologist will support ENT surgical procedures at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, working closely with nurses, surgeons, and anesthesia providers in a high‑acuity operating room environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scrub duties, maintain a sterile field, and assist with circulating functions under RN direction.
• Set up sterile tables, ensure supplies, drugs, and equipment are ready, and pass instruments during procedures.
• Assist with gowning, gloving, draping, and counting sponges and instruments.
• Collect, label, and hand over specimens for disposition.
• Participate in intra‑operative time‑outs and support post‑operative sterilization processes.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent certification (TS‑C, CST, military program, or LPN license).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work days plus on‑call shifts, be on‑site within one hour for call, and complete a three‑month orientation.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb, and handle supply carts over 75 lb.

Required skills

• Surgical Technologist certification or equivalent.
• Proficiency in sterile technique and instrument handling.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
