Surgical Technologist (CST) - Full Time Days

About the role

AdventHealth Littleton is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a full-time day shift. The role supports the surgical team by preparing instruments, supplies and sterile fields, and assisting the surgeon during operations. Eligible clinicians can earn salary increases of up to 20% through a voluntary Clinical Ladder Program.

Key responsibilities

• Set up the sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment and medications needed for procedures
• Prepare and label solutions and medications, reporting amounts for charting
• Prepare the back table and mayo stand according to the surgeon's preferences
• Provide supplies or equipment to the surgeon, nurses and anesthesiologist; hold retractors, instruments, sponges or suction; apply electrocautery, cut sutures, connect drains and apply dressings
• Assist with draping the sterile field and cover operating and instrument tables
• Perform counts with the circulator before the operation, before closing the incision and as needed

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program
• At least 1 year of CST experience in a surgical setting
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Technician in Surgery - Certified (NTSC)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Basic computer skills

Pay range: $27.15 - $50.50.
