Part-Time Night Shift NICU Registered Nurse

About the role

AdventHealth Littleton is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse for its NICU, working night shifts. The position is open to eligible clinicians and offers a salary increase of up to 20% through a voluntary Clinical Ladder Program based on experience, professional development and achievement of advancement criteria.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, regularly reviewing and revising them as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatments, medications and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care.

Required profile

• Associate's degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of NICU experience (required).
• Registered Nurse license (required).
• Basic Life Support certification preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills; ability to work as a team player within a unit.
• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills.
• EKG (based on patient; see EKG and Advanced Life Support requirements).

Pay range: $34.60 - $59.83.
