Registered Nurse - NICU, Night Shift

About the role

AdventHealth Littleton is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its NICU, working the night shift. The role covers assessment, care planning, medication administration and education of patients and families, with opportunities for salary growth through a voluntary Clinical Ladder Program.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, regularly reviewing and revising them.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatments, medications and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
• Minimum of 1 year of NICU experience (required).
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Preferred: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the AHA.

Required skills

• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Teamwork within a unit, and effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving.
• EKG interpretation (requirements listed separately).
