Registered Nurse - General Surgery Trauma, Night Shift

About the role

AdventHealth Littleton is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its General Surgery Trauma unit, working night shifts. The role covers assessment, care planning, medication administration, patient education and collaboration with the wider medical team.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients' physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle needs
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, reviewing them regularly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and monitor for adverse reactions
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate care
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and outcomes
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety and regulatory standards
• Provide emotional support and supervise delegation to other team members
• Respond promptly to code situations and take part in performance improvement activities

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• 1+ year of acute care hospital experience preferred
• Fluent English (reading, speaking and writing)
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required

Pay range: $34.60 - $59.83.
