Oncology Assistant Nurse Manager (FT, Night Shifts)

About the role

AdventHealth Littleton is hiring an Oncology Assistant Nurse Manager for a full-time position on night shifts. The role covers venous access and infusion therapy, staff supervision, quality improvement and mentoring, and eligible RNs can earn up to 20% salary increases through a voluntary Clinical Ladder Program.

Key responsibilities

• Perform venous access procedures within RN scope, administer and monitor infusion therapy, and develop individualized care plans
• Educate patients on venous access and infusion therapy
• Monitor nursing staff performance, give feedback, run appraisals and implement improvement plans
• Identify training needs, organize educational programs and mentor staff
• Mentor and precept new staff and resolve staff conflicts through mediation
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and communicate with patients, families and the healthcare team
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accrediting and hospital policies

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN); Associate's degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's preferred
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required
• 1+ charge nurse or relevant leadership experience preferred
• 1+ years of acute care nursing experience preferred

Required skills

• Excellent clinical practice knowledge and broad nursing knowledge
• Ability to lead unit staff, performance improvement and business aspects of care delivery
• Critical thinking, independent decision-making and strong written and verbal communication
• Basic computer skills, including an electronic health record
