Supply Technician

About the role

The Supply Technician supports the efficient receipt, handling, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment for LCMC Health. This position ensures that all incoming freight is accurately verified, decontaminated, and stocked to meet the needs of clinical areas.

Key responsibilities

• Unload, sort, and verify incoming freight against packing lists and purchase orders.
• Report discrepancies or damaged goods to the Purchasing Department and file damage claims.
• Process express packages (FedEx, UPS) using electronic handheld devices.
• Maintain inventory in storerooms and PAR locations, including counting, scanning, replenishing, and rotating stock.
• Deliver supplies and specialty carts to designated units, obtaining required signatures.
• Perform equipment decontamination according to established guidelines.
• Assist with cycle counts, shelf audits, and inventory reconciliations.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and secure work environment in storerooms and dock areas.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established procedures for receiving, inventory management, and decontamination.
• Attention to detail when verifying quantities and identifying damaged items.
• Capability to work in a fast‑paced, onsite environment handling medical supplies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic handheld inventory devices and scanning equipment.
• Knowledge of inventory management processes and PAR location handling.
• Familiarity with decontamination guidelines for medical equipment.
