Supply Chain Coordinator – Materials Management

About the role

The Supply Chain Coordinator supports Ochsner Health's Materials Management departments by delivering excellent customer service, resolving issues, and ensuring efficient flow of supplies. You will play a key part in receiving, inventorying, and distributing materials while generating reports that drive process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor internal and external customer service email accounts and phone lines to maintain service levels.
• Generate and analyze monthly productivity and supply‑chain reports to improve efficiency.
• Accurately receive, issue, and return inventory and purchase orders.
• Train new employees on receiving and central supply duties.
• Resolve errors related to receipts, customer orders, and par levels.
• Identify and address internal and external customer needs.
• Participate in continuous improvement of supply‑chain processes, metrics, and customer satisfaction.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate degree preferred.
• Experience in inventory management or distribution; healthcare supply‑chain experience preferred.
• Forklift certification required within 30 days of hire for the Warehouse District Row location.
• Ability to travel between facilities and work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on‑call availability.

Required skills

• Forklift operation (certified).
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Basic knowledge of inventory‑management software.
