Supply Chain Buyer – Multiple Openings in Costa Rica

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking experienced purchasing professionals to join its new office in Heredia, Costa Rica. As a Supply Chain Buyer you will support the procurement of materials, supplies, machinery, and services that keep our cutting‑edge semiconductor and display equipment manufacturing facilities running.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase and manage inventory of critical components, supplies and services.
• Coordinate delivery schedules and monitor stock levels to avoid production disruptions.
• Negotiate terms and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost‑effective solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including operations, engineering and finance.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in purchasing or supply chain roles, ranging from junior to senior levels.
• Strong organizational and strategic planning abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Willingness to work 100% onsite in Heredia.
